Boldenone Undecylenate, most commonly known by the trade name Equipoise or simply "EQ," is a structurally altered form of testosterone. Unlike most other AAS used by humans, Boldenone was never officially approved for human use; it is strictly a veterinary grade steroid developed to increase lean muscle mass and feed efficiency in horses (hence the "Equi-" in the name).
How It Works: The Endurance Builder
Chemically, Boldenone is very similar to Dianabol (Methandrostenolone), but with a slight modification that makes it an injectable liquid with a very different effect profile.
Red Blood Cell (RBC) Production: EQ is notorious for drastically increasing the production of red blood cells (Erythropoiesis). More red blood cells mean more oxygen is carried to the muscles.
Result: Massive increases in cardiovascular endurance and stamina. Athletes can train harder and longer without getting winded.
Appetite Stimulation: One of the most distinct effects of EQ is a massive increase in appetite. It is often used in "bulking" cycles to help athletes consume the necessary calories to grow.
Slow & Steady Gains: It uses the Undecylenate ester, which is extremely long. It does not produce rapid gains or water retention. The muscle built on EQ is slow to appear but is dense, vascular, and easier to keep after the cycle ends.
General Dosage Guidelines
The Undecylenate ester provides a half-life of approximately 14 days. This is a very slow-acting drug. It can take 4 to 6 weeks just to "kick in" and see noticeable results. Therefore, EQ cycles must be run for long durations.
Injection Frequency: Usually injected once or twice a week.
1. Men (Bulking or Lean Mass)
Dosage: 400 mg to 600 mg per week.
Note: Doses below 400 mg are generally considered ineffective for men. Some advanced bodybuilders use up to 800 mg, but anxiety becomes a risk.
Duration: 12 to 16 weeks. (Running it for less than 12 weeks is often considered a waste of time).
Stacking: Excellent when stacked with Testosterone Enanthate/Cypionate as a base.
2. Women
Despite being a veterinary drug, EQ is moderately popular among women because it has relatively low androgenic activity (low risk of virilization if doses are kept low).
Dosage: 50 mg to 75 mg per week.
Duration: 6 to 8 weeks.
