Winstrol (Stanozolol)
Winstrol, known chemically as Stanozolol, is one of the most famous anabolic steroids in history (notably associated with the 1988 Olympic sprinting scandals). It is derived from Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and is widely used in bodybuilding for "cutting" cycles to achieve a hard, vascular, and defined look.
How It Works: The "Polisher"
Winstrol is unique because it modifies the DHT hormone to increase its anabolic (muscle building) properties while reducing its androgenic properties.
Zero Water Retention: Because it is a DHT derivative, it cannot aromatize into estrogen. This means it causes zero water retention, making the muscles look "dry" and "hard" rather than puffy.
SHBG Reduction: Winstrol has a potent ability to lower Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG). By lowering SHBG, it increases the amount of "free testosterone" circulating in the body, making other steroids in the cycle more effective.
Direct Fat Loss: While no steroid burns fat directly like a burner, Winstrol is known to promote a very lean physique more effectively than bulking compounds.
General Dosage Guidelines
Winstrol is available in two forms: Oral tablets and Injectable water-based suspension. Interestingly, the chemical structure is the same in both, meaning the injectable liquid can technically be drunk (though not recommended due to liver stress).

The goal is muscle preservation during a calorie deficit and increasing strength/speed.

Important Safety Note & Side Effects
Warning: Winstrol has two distinct, harsh side effects:
"Dry" Joints: Because it pulls water out of the body, it can dry out the synovial fluid in joints. Severe joint pain is very common. Heavy lifting can become painful and injury-prone while on Winstrol.
Liver Toxicity: Like Turinabol, Winstrol is 17-aa alkylated. It is highly toxic to the liver.
Cholesterol: It is arguably the worst steroid for cardiovascular health, often drastically lowering HDL (good cholesterol) and raising LDL (bad cholesterol).
